18 Months Old
This week we had our 18 month appointment for Hayden. We can’t believe that our baby is already a year and a half old. Where does the time go? It seems that as they get older, everything speeds up and they grow so fast. The doctor told us that he’s still a very healthy boy and is right where he should be developmentally, which we’re very thankful for. He really has developed such a cute personality and is so smart. Jamie and I couldn’t be prouder. Because he changes everyday, here’s a list of what our little man likes and what he’s currently doing:
- Eats just about anything and is currently loving red kidney beans and 100% cranberry juice
- Favorite song at story time is “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes”
- Favorite “hang outs” include the playground across the street and the pool
- Favorite TV shows are Elmo’s World and Jack’s Big Music Show
- New favorite word is Mom
- Favorite book is an animal peek-a-boo book
- Loves to “draw” with crayons, sidewalk chalk and his aquadoodle
- Goes to bed at 7:00 or 7:30 and wakes up in the morning around the same time – sometimes later.
- Goes to his crib at naptime and wants to get in
- Naps from 12:00 to about 2:30 or 3:00
- Usually wakes up by “talking” to his stuffed animals and waits until we get him.
- Greets us with a smile on his face most of the time
- Likes to throw and kick the ball
- Likes to attempt to put on his clothes and shoes but gets frustrated when he can’t do it
- Is passionate about his Cubs crocks and loves to put them on
- Gets excited when he hears the garage door when Daddy comes home
- Is obsessed with the TV controls and plays with them all the time
- Is fascinated with running water
- Loves to climb and run everywhere

Hanging Out on a Wednesday Morning

It’s a Boy!
The three of us are ecstatic to announce that baby #2 is a boy! We had another doctor’s appointment this week with a sonogram and found out that we’re having a boy. Most of you already know this, because the two of us couldn’t contain our excitement and just had to tell our family and close friends. The baby is still healthy and is kicking away. We can’t wait to see Hayden as a big brother and meet our new little guy. Our soon to be family of four is truly blessed. :)

August Vacation to Florida
We took another vacation to Florida and had a nice relaxing time in Orlando. Hayden had a blast swimming and couldn’t seem to spend enough time in the water. Here’s some fun pictures and videos from the past two weeks.
The Florida Aquarium
While Jamie was back up North for business, the four of us took a day to go to the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. It was a great day and Hayden really enjoyed looking at all of the different fish and sea life.
Hayden at 3 and 18 Months
Here’s Hayden at just 3 months old and now at 18 months. He’s sure grown fast and has developed such a fun personality.
Our Six Year Anniversary
Since Jamie and I had such a good time last year celebrating our anniversary at the beach, we decided to go to Clearwater again. We had a perfect day and had a good time swimming and walking on the beach. While we went to the beach for the day, Nana and Grandpa watched Hayden and took him to Epcot to ride a few rides and have fun. They were nice enough to take video for us to see when we got home. On our actual anniversary on the 7th, Nana and Grandpa babysat again while we had a nice dinner and walk at Downtown Disney. Thanks again Mom and Dad:)
