Rain, Rain Go Away

It’s been such a rainy summer so far that the boys and I are craving more sunny days.  These guys played outside almost all day yesterday.  It was picture perfect!  Hoping for more days like that the rest of this month!

More Summer

Still enjoying the summer sun and weather despite all of the rain.

I stalk all of the butterflies and birds that come in our yard.

Hayden was helping me grate carrots for muffins and Bennet was using them to make a train on the floor.

A Trip to the Splash Park

Summer’s in full swing and we’re making the most of the hot days so far.  I took the boys to a really fun splash park today.  It was the perfect day for it (almost 90), and the two of them had a blast.  We stayed for three hours and had a nice picnic lunch while we were there.  And for fun on the way home, we had to make a stop to DQ for some much deserved ice cream.  I love these summer days and time with my boys.

  

The Beginning of Summer

The boys have started their summer activities with the park district, so we know that summer is officially here.  The majority of their activities and camps are during the day, which is nice because it definitely helps with the summer boredom that can sometimes set in.  I have a lot planned for these two with a lot of trips to the library, pool, and parks!  We love summer!!

 

Becky and Bryan’s Wedding

Last weekend we went to Becky and Bryan’s wedding in Minneapolis and had a blast!  The boys looked so cute in their tuxes and did a great job being ring bearers.  Their wedding was on a boat on the St. Croix river which is the border between Wisconsin and Minnesota.  It was beautiful.  After they got married on the top deck, we started the cruise and had dinner and dancing, which was a lot of fun.  All of the kids did a really good job.  So good, that Hayden and Bennet fell asleep on the chairs.  Overall, it was a wonderful weekend and we’re so excited to welcome two new neices/cousins and a new sister-in-law/Aunt to our family!!  :)
