Here’s our new basketball player!
Not only does he like books, but apparently, magazines. I went to get some laundry today and when I came back to the playroom, this is where I found him.
Hayden’s preschool had a field trip today to NCState Farm Days. I was lucky and got to go with him while Daddy stayed home with Bennet. We met Hayden’s teachers and the rest of his preschool class there and had the best time. The kids really enjoyed petting the animals and playing with the tractors. After the trip, the kids all went back to preschool and had an Easter egg hunt and their Easter party, because next week is their spring break. Hayden sure had fun and couldn’t stop talking about how awesome it was and how he loved eating a cupcake at school. To say the least, he’s upstairs fast asleep from all of today’s exciting activities.
This is Hayden’s teacher, Miss Beverly.
This is the teacher’s aid that helps out in Hayden’s class, Miss Caryn.
Hayden was super excited to hang out with his buddy, Brynn, and her Mommy.
Everyone got ice cream after looking at the animals. Hayden was in heaven.
Went for a family walk at New Waverly Place in Cary, ate pizza and watched the clouds go by…..What a great end to the day.
Here’s what we did on this gorgeous Friday……played in the playroom after breakfast, gave high fives, drank a lot of coffee, went to the store, acted super silly, made cookies with Mommy, did some laundry, splashed around in our new water table, filled up the pool, had a tantrum, ate lunch outside, and took naps. Not a bad Friday if you ask me!
A couple of days ago, we had an early morning thunderstorm. It woke both the kids up around 6:30, so we just got up and played in Hayden’s room before went downstairs to start the day. While we were playing, we looked outside and saw a really pretty rainbow. And a few minutes later, we saw another one out of my bedroom window. They were both so refreshing to see. Bennet, bless his heart, wanted to be like Hayden and see the rainbow outside of the window. What a sweetheart.
This is so Bennet. Whenever we’re occupied with something upstairs and lose sight of him for a second, we can almost always find Bennet in his room playing with his books. He loves to get all of them off his shelf and just sit there quietly and look through them. Hope he never loses his passion for books.
Since Hayden ate all of his lunch today, he could have pudding for dessert. Instead of keeping it all for himself, he wanted to share it with Bennet who, of course, didn’t mind. It’s so great to watch these little guys share and hug each other.
Wow, what a great day to welcome the month of March. It’s unseasonably warm out today and is supposed to be 78 degrees….perfect! So, while Hayden was in preschool, Bennet and I played outside and went for a really long walk. This little guy was loving it and showed me some of his new skills at the playground. He can now climb up the stairs by himself. And when he gets to the top of the slide, he wants to go down head first. Oh my, what a daring boy. It’s really started to feel like spring around here and some of the trees are starting to bud and the daffodils and pansies are out as well.
These pictures are from the other night. It was warm out, so we go the bouncy house out before dinner. The boys are loving it!
Hayden’s learning how to ride his bike with help from Daddy.
