Washington D.C.

One of the places that the two of us really wanted to explore when we moved to North Carolina was Washington D.C.  So, this past Friday, Jamie and I headed out to our capital city while Nana Deb and Grandpa Mike stayed with Hayden for the weekend.   The city was beautiful, and we were so happy to finally see all of the monuments and museums on our list.  It was a great weekend and a perfect little trip before the arrival of the baby.  We can’t wait to go back as a family!048

Fall on the Parkway

Yesterday the three of us went to the Blue Ridge Parkway by Boone to see the fall colors in the mountains.  The weather was crisp and it definitely felt like fall with all of the beautiful colors.  We followed the parkway up the mountains and then stopped at Linville Falls for a hike before lunch.  There were so many trails leading to all of the different waterfalls.  Since I’m 6 months pregnant and we have a wandering toddler, we decided that it was best to see the small falls this time around and take the more strenuous paths to the bigger falls later.  It was gorgeous and Hayden had a fun time running everywhere and seeing all of the sights.  The pictures don’t quite look as pretty as it did in person, but are a neat memory nonetheless.  We can’t wait to go back and see all of the pretty colors again sometime.

CAT at the Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we took Hayden to another pumpkin patch to pick out the rest of the pumpkins for our front porch.  There was some CAT equipment there that we got to play on and Hayden fell in love;).  102

Playgroup Outing to the Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday our playgroup had a really fun outing to Hill Ridge Farms.  We all had such a good time watching the kids play and interact with all the fun activities there were.  Hayden really liked looking at all of the animals – especially the goats.  He also had fun riding the train and had a blast on the hayrack ride.

Here’s the group all together.  Kids from left to right – Conner, Parker, Ethan, Noah, Naylor, Lalon, Luke, Reed, Hayden and Charlotte.151
