Last week the three of us went to Illinois to visit Jamie’s family and had an awesome time. Within that side of the family, there are basically five birthdays from the end of February through March, so we had a lot of celebrating to do. And this year, it was the big 3-0 for Jamie and Mike, which made it even more special. This was Hayden’s first trip to Illinois and Jamie’s hometown, so we took him all over Libertyville and tried to hit some of our favorite spots. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, too, so we were able to be outside a lot. Hayden really enjoyed hanging out with Gigi, Popi, Uncle Mike, Aunt Julie, and Brady. Aunt Molly and Uncle Ryan also made the trip down from Minnesota for our big visit which added to all of the fun. Hayden also got to meet his great Aunt Judy and Uncle Bert, and my best friend (his “Aunt Jodee”) drove up from Peoria to see us for a day. It was definitely so fun with everyone and we talked about how the trip just flew by. We had a wonderful time, and it was great to get everyone in the family together.
