Today we had a wonderful day trip to The Parkway again. We decided to do something different and drive a little further than normal and check out an apple orchard. We’re really glad that we did and will definitely go again next year, because it was such a neat experience. Hayden and Bennet had a great time and loved the beautiful day and apple picking. After we picked our apples, we drove North and decided to head to Linville Falls again for our picnic lunch. We found a nice area with a lot of tables right by the river. Before we headed home, we went for a leisurely hike by the falls. What we didn’t really expect this trip were the leaves to be so beautiful. Last year, we went during the peak weekend, and they looked almost identical this year. Just gorgeous. Jamie got some great shots of the colors from the car. Now I just have to figure out what to do with all of those apples.
