Reading Time

Now that Bennet’s officially a year old, we’ve taken the baby rocker out of his room and added a new book shelf and chair. (Thanks Papa for helping put it together;) I think that it’s really important for each of the boys to have a nice place to store their books and a quiet place to read before nap and bedtime.  So far, Bennet is really liking his chair and his special new place to hang out.  This morning, after we read some books in Bennet’s room, Hayden wanted to read some books to Bennet in his crib.  It was a really cute moment and I’m glad I already had my camera there to capture it.  The last picture cracks me up….can you guess what they were doing in Hayden’s crib? What funny boys!

Bennet’s First Birthday!!

Our baby is one already!  We celebrated Bennet’s birthday on the 11th and had a great day!  While Daddy was a work, the five of us went out to lunch and then came home and played before naptime.  In the evening, we opened presents and had cake and pizza for dinner.  Bennet was a champ and loved his special cup cake.  I think it’s safe to say that there was only a small amount of icing left when he was done.  Our little man has grown up so fast and has already had his last bottle and is loving whole milk.  Can’t believe we’re officially done with bottles. Wow, definitely the fastest year of our lives. Thank you all for the presents and birthday wishes for our sweet boy!  We are truly blessed to have him in our lives.:)

Hayden’s Tea Party and A Swing Pic

I had a sweet moment with Hayden while Bennet was taking his morning nap the other day.  We had our very first tea party complete with a hot dog and apple cake.  He couldn’t have been cuter.  And to top off a great morning, the boys and I walked to the playground and had a great time in the mild weather.
