From Raleigh to Chi-town

Well, the boys took their first plane ride to Chicago, and I must say that we were definitely impressed.  Hayden and Bennet did great and we were really proud of them.  The four of us will definitely have to start flying more for vacations since everything went so smoothly.  This past weekend, we went to visit some of the Ronin side of the family and we all got to meet our sweet new nephew, Everett.  He’s just gorgeous and so precious!  Hayden and Bennet had a great time playing with their cousin, Brady and the rest of the fam.  They were so busy, that it was quite difficult to get a picture of the three that wasn’t blurry.:) It was a wonderful weekend and it was so nice to spend time with everyone again.

Reading Time

We read to the boys before bed and lately during nap time and at bed time, Hayden has been hopping up in the chair with me as I read to Bennet.  It’s very sweet.
I took this picture after Hayden got home from preschool. He must have been really moved by the message that day, because he wanted to read about Jesus in his Bible.   It made my day.

Easter Weekend 2012

The four of us definitely had quite the fun filled Easter weekend this year.  We kept busy by playing at the kids museum in Raleigh, going to church, dying Easter eggs, being visited by the Easter Bunny and going to Emerald Isle.  Hope you all had a wonderful Easter too!!

Bennet is exactly like Hayden and tries to run right in. Jamie and I definitely got a workout.
We definitely liked this strip of beach much better than the Wrightsville area.  The water was a lot prettier, especially for the Atlantic.
We headed East and decided to check out Fort Macon.

My Sidekick

I would say that at almost any given time when I’m in the kitchen, my sidekick is right there to help me along the way.  Bennet is such a Mama’s boy and I must say, I love it.  Almost every day he’ll snuggle in his chair with me after his nap and look out the window at the school kids.  I know that this won’t last long, so I’m trying to savor it as much as possible.

Play Group Fun

We went to Rikki’s yesterday for lunch and had a really laid back Easter egg hunt for the kids.  It’s hard to believe that when we started this play group, the kids couldn’t walk or talk and now they’re running and talking nonstop.  They’re all such great kids and so full of energy, definitely toddlers.  Also when we started, there were four kids and now there are ten.  We’re all definitely blessed and it’s been neat to watch these little guys grow and interact with each other.  Here’s just a couple of the pictures from yesterday.
