These are the Moments

I love being home to snuggle with my boys on a cloudy summer morning.  Someday when they’re older, I know I’ll look back and cherish these moments the most.

The 4th of July

The four of us headed up to Libertyville for the 4th of July and had such a great time.  It was good to see everyone and enjoy the gorgeous summer weather.  At the end of the evening we headed to the fireworks which were awesome. It was a perfect 4th of July weekend!

Chicago with the Boys

Last Friday, Jamie and I decided to take a little family trip into Chicago for the day with the boys.  This was Hayden and Bennet’s first time in downtown Chicago and the two had a blast.  It was a gorgeous day, so we walked all over the city and took in the beautiful buildings and sites.  We knew the boys would want to get wet at Millennium Park and the beach so we brought a lot of extra clothes and towels.  Good thing we did, because they couldn’t seem to get enough of it.  It was definitely a fun impromptu Saturday for the four of us.  Can’t wait to do it again!

Rain, Rain Go Away

It’s been such a rainy summer so far that the boys and I are craving more sunny days.  These guys played outside almost all day yesterday.  It was picture perfect!  Hoping for more days like that the rest of this month!

More Summer

Still enjoying the summer sun and weather despite all of the rain.

I stalk all of the butterflies and birds that come in our yard.

Hayden was helping me grate carrots for muffins and Bennet was using them to make a train on the floor.
