Where has the time gone? We’ve been so busy this summer that I’ve fallen behind with my blogging. It’s scary to think about how fast this season is going and how quickly our baby is growing up. A couple of weeks ago, Bennet had his 6 month appointment, and we’re happy to report that our little man is still healthy and right on track for his age. Here are some of the pictures I got of him on that day. He was such a good boy for the doctor.
Since moving in, we’ve always seen deer through the trees in our backyard, which is such a nice surprise. Yesterday, while we were eating breakfast on our screened in porch, we saw these gorgeous babies. I quickly got my camera and was able to get their picture before they left. Hayden loved seeing them and got really excited and said, “Look, Mama, couple of deer.” How fun!
So, after much thought, I’ve decided to start a new blog solely for our recipes. I’ve wanted to do this for a while, because we’ve accumulated so many over the last three years. When the two of us lived in Peoria, it seemed that we always had the same boring things for dinner and we never really ventured out to try anything new and exciting. One of our goals when we moved here was to experience as many new things as we could. Since we’re both big eaters, we thought that food should definitely be on that list.
