On Saturday, we decided to test out the new car on a little road trip to Virginia. We started off in historic Williamsburg, which used to be the colonial capital of Virginia. Within this district, we were surprised to find so many authentic and recreated buildings to look like this old city. The nearby downtown area of modern day Williamsburg is also very pretty. We were also able to see some of the campus of the College of William and Mary, which was quite gorgeous. This area is also called the Historic Triangle because the first American settlement of Jamestown and Yorktown are very close. We drove the eight miles to Jamestown, but soon discovered that you had to pay to enter that area. Although it looked neat, we decided that it wasn’t worth the $15.00/adult, because we wanted to go to Virginia Beach instead. Overall, though, it was a beautiful area that we would like to explore again.
