Virginia Beach, Virginia

After lunch, we headed out to Virginia Beach on what felt like a summer day in July – perfect for the beach.  We weren’t planning on going at all, but were surprised at how close it was, so we figured, why not?  Virginia is so beautiful and the beach was no exception.   It definitely differed from the beaches we’ve seen in North and South Carolina in that there are a lot more houses and smaller hotels here – at least from what we’ve explored so far.  The boardwalk was neat and was awesome for people watching.  Hayden was in heaven in the Atlantic.  It’s obviously cold this time of year, but that really didn’t stop him from wanting to get in.  He really had a blast playing in the water and the waves.  His afternoon nap couldn’t have come at a more perfect time, because I think this little guy was quite worn out.  To say the least, the three of us will definitely be back to Virginia soon.
