Here are some recent pictures of our new little sweetie. Bennet’s doing well and is loving life so far by eating and sleeping a lot. He has beautiful eyes like his big brother and now likes to look around and observe everyone when he’s awake. He’s becoming quite spoiled and we all can’t seem to hold him enough. Yesterday Bennet had his first doctor’s appointment and of course, I had my camera with me just like I did with Hayden’s first appointment almost two years ago.:) He’s doing well so far and has gained two ounces. Thought I’d share these pictures, because he was such a relaxed baby and slept almost the entire time the doctor was checking him out. When Jamie and I got home, Hayden was there and ready to help us take Bennet out of his car seat – so sweet.
We are proud to announce the arrival of our beautiful baby boy, Bennet Jamison Ronin! He came into the world on January 11, 2011 at 2:28 pm. We had a scheduled c-section and everything went well, and he was born a healthy boy weighing 7 lb. 8 oz. and was 19 inches long. He’s such a sweet little baby and resembled his big brother a lot when he was born. Bennet’s been home for three days and so far, has been a very good baby. Hayden has been a great big brother as well and has been quite spoiled by everyone with all of his big brother gifts. He absolutely loves his visitors and definitely enjoys his time with Nana, Papa, Gigi and Uncle Bryan. We’re very blessed and so excited to now be a family of four. Thank you all for the great presents, calls and cards.
Baby #2 is almost here and we really can’t believe it. The pregnancy has gone by so fast, and we’re so close to meeting our new little guy. We’ve been busy getting all of our baby stuff ready, and at this point, are finally good to go. Overall, I thought that the pregnancy was great, except I would say that the last month – and I think most women would agree – is definitely the most challenging. I’m almost 39 weeks and am starting to feel huge. But, we only have two more days left until his arrival, and we really couldn’t be more excited. Thursday was my last check-up at the doctor and all is well and he’s right on target. I think that with this baby, we aren’t quite as nervous as we were with Hayden. Knowing what to expect has been nice, especially when you look back and see how fast your first newborn grew. We went out to dinner tonight at one of our favorite restaurants to celebrate our last outing together as a family of three (thanks again Mike, Julie, and Brady for the gift certificate!). Hayden was an excellent boy and it was fun to think about all of the excitement this next week will bring. :)
