Strawberry Picking

I love taking the boys strawberry picking.  Hayden, Bennet and I had a great time picking strawberries, going for a hike (a very muddy one) and getting Avanti’s for lunch.

Upside Down at the Pool

Summer has officially started and so far, consists of the pool everyday and baseball games.  I brought my camera with me today and captured some pictures of the boys going off of the diving boards.  Hayden’s been perfecting his front flip with a twist and Bennet’s just doing some fun jumps off of the low dive.  It’s a blast to watch both of them as they never seem to slow down.  It’s diving boards, slides, swim, repeat.

The End of Kindergarten

This sweet boy had his last day of Kindergarten today.  It’s REALLY hard to believe!  This year has flown by SO fast.  The boys have learned so much and have loved both of their teachers.  Bennet had his end of the year program last week and did a great job saying his line.  I had a hard time getting any good pictures of him up there singing, but we got some great video though.  He’s had a awesome teacher and we’ll sure miss her next year.  Now, ready for summer and going to the pool everyday!

The Nationals

Baseball season has begun for the boys and both are having a great time!

No More Training Wheels

Bennet is finally riding his bike without training wheels!  It’s just in time for summer as we plan on riding all over town to the parks, get ice cream, movies and to the pool.  Way to go, Bennet! (Check out those two missing front teeth.) 

Spring Break - 2017

We headed down to see Nana and Papa again in Orlando for spring break this year.  We did all of our favorite activities while enjoying the gorgeous sunny weather.  The boys both lost teeth on our trip and were visited by the tooth fairy.  Bennet lost his second front tooth while swimming in the pool and Hayden lost a tooth on the way home in the car.  Made the trip even more eventful!

A Six and Eight Year Old

Well, the boys have officially turned 6 and 8.  Hard to believe that it’s gone so fast.  When we asked the the two what they wanted for their birthdays, they each wanted something different, but very low key.  Surprisingly, neither of them wanted a big party.  Bennet just wanted his two best friends, Max and Ryan, to come over to his house to play and have McDonalds for lunch.  Couldn’t get any simpler.  As for Hayden, we were initially going to go to the trampoline park in Springfield, but with the unseasonably gorgeous weather, we planned an over night in Iowa City and had a blast.  The four of us were outside almost the whole weekend and the boys swam a lot at our hotel.  Hayden and Bennet chose wisely and we had a wonderful time celebrating 6 and 8!
