Bouncy House

The most popular toy at the Ronin house right now is our bouncy house.  Both boys can’t get enough of it and want to jump ALL of the time.  Lots of smiles, giggles (as well as fighting over balls:) from these two lately.

Bennet’s Two Year Update

I took Bennet to the doctor the other day for his two year well check and he did great!  His first two years of life have just flown by and he’s been such a joy. His development is right on track and he’s been a very healthy, little guy.  Lately, he’s been talking up a storm and his favorite song to sing is “Baa, Baa, Black Sheep”.  It’s so cute to watch him sing it while he plays with his trains.  Bennet’s always been very laid back and plays by himself so well.  Sometimes while Hayden is at preschool and I’m occupied with housework, I can always find him playing quietly by himself.  He still loves books and now loves to sit and do look-and-finds before bed.  Although he’s still a very good boy, Bennet has definitely entered into the “terrible two” stage and has started saying “mine” and will sometimes hit whoever takes one of his toys.  Oh, the joys of toddlerhood:). From the very beginning, he’s admired Hayden so much and will now copy anything his big brother does.  It’s made for some very fun and interesting dinner times that for sure.  God has definitely blessed us with our boys and we’re looking forward to watching both of them grow in 2013.

Bennet Turns Two!

It’s hard to believe that this little angel turned two on January 11th.  Even crazier to imagine, is that it was in the 70’s here in North Carolina for his big day and we were all wearing shorts.  It was such a wonderful weekend and it was great to just hang out, go to the zoo and watch Bennet open and play with his new toys.  Again, he was quite spoiled by family and friends with all of the wonderful thoughts and presents that were sent.  Thomas and choo-choos were definitely the theme this year.  Jamie, Hayden and I have been so blessed to have Bennet in our lives.  He definitely makes us smile.

Our Top 5 Memorable Moments of 2012

1.  The trips we’ve taken to Emerald Isle, NC.

2.  Bennet’s first visit to Disney World

3.  The boys first plane ride and our trip to Chicago. 

4.  Jamie’s work trip to London and my best friend get-a-way to Chicago with Jodee.

5.  Staying in the mountains in Gatlinburg and seeing a bear (numerous times) by our cabin.

A Very Blessed Christmas

We had such a wonderful Christmas this year and the four of us are truly blessed.  It was a fun-filled week with swimming, Disney, the beach and opening the many presents from Santa, family and friends.  Thank you all for the great gifts and I hope everyone has a very Happy New Year!

Manatee Beach

In the past four years, we’ve been so spoiled by all of the beach trips we’ve been able to take.  And this trip was definitely no exception.  It was such a beautiful day at the beach and there’s nothing like having a little fish and chips for lunch overlooking the ocean.  :)
