That Time of Day
My friend, Stacy, just sent me these pictures from our playgroup a month ago. This was one of those random times of day where we were all tired of being inside waiting for our husbands to come home from work, so we decided to have yet another impromptu playgroup. All the kids were in quite a funny mood, so we decided to sit them all together and take their picture. How funny are these expressions?

Hayden’s Having a Ball in his Tent
Over Christmas break, my parents bought Hayden this cute tent to play and hang out in. At first, Hayden just thought that it was ok and occasionally would go in and out. Well, yesterday morning while we were playing, I thought that I would try it out again and put it together. Wow, what a difference a couple of months makes. He now really likes it. Although I think sometimes he forgets that he needs to duck down to go in and out. Hayden and I went out yesterday afternoon to get some play balls to put in it to make it even better. To say the least, the balls increase the allure of the tent for Hayden.

Uh, oh…..Spaghettios
I made spaghetti for dinner tonight for Jamie and I, so I thought that this would be a good time to give Hayden spaghettios for the first time. I knew that it would be quite the messy occasion, so I took off his sweater and just had him in his undershirt with a bib. It was also right before bath time. He was funny to watch, because, in typical Hayden fashion, he first observed the strange new food in front of him and then dove right in. His night really started to get better when Jamie gave him the bowl that we heated them up in. Hayden really thought he was cool, especially when he tilted a lot of the spaghettios in his lap.
I like that there is a tiny spaghettio in his hair and also one on his ring finger. I think I caught him here having a full on conversation with his food. He loves to talk and laugh.
Way to go buddy, try to get your whole face in there.

A Fun Morning Activity
A huge positive about this area that we love are all of the activities available for kids of all ages. Now that Hayden is older, we’re really interested in taking him to as many new age appropriate things as we can. My friend Katy invited me to one of these activities at our local McDonalds. So today, Hayden and I met Katy and her daughter and my playgroup out to see what it was all about. Sadly, I’m not quite sure what company organized the activity, but there were two woman that sang songs and handed out toys for the kids to play with and interact with the songs. It was a lot of fun and Hayden really enjoyed looking at all of the other kids. He sat on my lap and danced with the songs – it was so cute. Next week we’re going to meet some friends at our local library for story time, which I’m super excited about, too. I didn’t have my camera there, but he fell asleep in the car on the way home, so I took these two pictures. I love how he falls asleep in the car – he’s still my little baby. He’s had a crazy couple of days, because he’s teething. You can see his top four teeth starting to come through a little – ouch! Our poor sweetie.
